Mhairi McFarlane is one of my favourite authors and Whos That Girl is her best book yet. Her stories are always funny, smart and slick and despite their length I never want them to end. Whos That Girl follows Edie Thompson whose found herself in a very modern, very complicated sort-of-relationship with a guy at her work.4/5.
Who's That Girl is a funny, quirky, un-put-down-able YA triumph. The characters are relatable and the dialogue had me laughing out loud about every 5 seconds.
Thornburgh captures the awkwardness and excitement of high school crushes perfectly with a unique voice/5(30). 'Who's that Girl?' is a look at a different perspective - the 'other woman', who is usually the villain in stories like this.
Edie commits what many would see as a despicable act at the beginning of the story and 'Who's that Girl?' charts the fallout from that. I have loved all of Mhairi McFarlane's books and this is no exception/5(). Who's that girl is a great bit of escapism from day to day reality, characters who are realistic, comedic and annoying so that you actually feel Charlotte 's emotions frustrations and desires.
Great fun read that I found increasingly difficult to put by: A quirky debut, Who's That Girl by Blair Thornburgh revolves around the life of Nattie McCullough who's life takes a turn as a song with her namesake by an up and coming band headed by a boy who used to go to her high school grows and gains traction/5.
Whos That Girl. is more in the Me & Mr Darcy vein that the other two as both main characters see apparently someone from long ago Mr Darcy in Me & Mr Darcy and Whos that girl?

The second book in the Soho Noir series, Who's That Girl was a very enjoyable read. The series is a cozy mystery series and is one which is best read in order. Praise for Who’s That Girl “Lively and smart, Blair Thornburgh’s debut will hook you like a pop song and proceed to win your heart.” —Nina LaCour, award-winning author of We Are Okay “Blair Thornburgh’s debut is the perfect mixture of music and heart, friendship and romance.
I absolutely love McFarlane's books. I don't read many 'chick lit' books, and I'm kind of loath to call her books chick lit. This is because they don't follow the necessary girl meets boy/boy fixes everything/both live happily ever after formula. And this is a good thing. The women in her stories are real women with real problems and the men too/5().
The author of Who’s That Girl, Blair Thornburgh’s new book is sure to be one you’ll love. Plum, reclusive but responsible, and Ginny, brilliant but outlandish, are as different as can be, with only one thing in common: they’re siblings. After a financial crisis, the siblings drift even further apart.
For Plum, this means coming into her own. Blair Thornburgh is the author of several books for kids and teens. Her first novel, Who’s That Girl, was named a Bank Street Best Book of the : HarperCollins Publishers.

Mhairi McFarlane’s Inside Story: “She is very true to one of my mission statements: to ensure that my heroines are architects of their own downfall.I mean, she kisses a guy on his wedding day. This laugh-out-loud debut is filled with hilarious awkward encounters, a supportive LGBTQ organization, and too many cheesy lyrics to count—all with the compulsive readability of Audrey, Wait!and Boy Meets Boy.
Junior Nattie McCullough has always been that under-the-radar straight girl who hangs out in the cafeteria with her gay-straight alliance friends.
